In Canada, the operator of a personal watercraft (PWC — the official term for a jetski) is technically required to have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC). This is the "boating license" most people refer to. It's a one-time test you can take online for about $50.
However, rental companies like FB Rentals are allowed to issue a temporary boating license on-site. This is a Transport Canada-compliant document that's valid for the duration of your rental. We provide this at no cost — it's included with every rental.

Most of our riders are first-timers. Our safety briefing covers everything you need to know — controls, steering, stopping, and the riding zone boundaries. Our beginner-friendly ski (the Sea-Doo GTI SE 170) is stable and forgiving. For the 300 HP machines, we'll start you in eco mode until you're comfortable.
You'll feel confident in minutes. The controls are intuitive — throttle on the right, steering like a bicycle. If you can ride a bike, you can ride a jetski.
