What to Bring on Your Jetski Rental (And What to Leave Behind)

You booked a 300 HP jetski. You're excited. Now you're standing at the door wondering what to grab. This is the checklist we give every rider before they head out — what to bring, what to leave behind, and what we already provide so you don't waste time packing it.

✅ Bring This

Valid driver's license. The rider must have a valid G2, G, M2, M, International/Worldwide, or Out-of-Province license. No license, no ride — no exceptions.
Photo ID. We need to verify you are who you say you are.
Swimwear. You WILL get wet. A bathing suit, board shorts, or anything you'd wear to a water park. Don't show up in jeans.
Towel. For after the ride. We don't provide towels.
Sunscreen. SPF 30+. The sun off the water is brutal — it reflects and hits you twice. Put it on before you ride, and reapply if you're out for the day.
Sunglasses. Polarized if you have them. They cut the glare off the water and protect your eyes at speed. A strap helps — 300 HP will blow them off your face.
A phone. For contact and emergencies. Keep it in a waterproof pouch or leave it with your group — a jetski is not a phone-friendly environment.
Water shoes or sandals (optional). The boarding dock can get hot. Water shoes with grip also help if you reboard from the water.
A change of clothes. For the ride home. You'll be damp.

Pro tip: Bring a small dry bag or waterproof phone pouch. Phones and jetskis don't mix — water spray, high-speed turns, and reboarding from the water all add up. If you want photos, ask about our GoPro rental.

❌ Leave This Behind

Your boating license. You don't need one. We issue a free temporary license on-site. If you have a PCOC, great — but you don't need it to rent.
Expensive sunglasses or jewelry. If you'd be upset losing them in the lake, leave them on shore. Things fall off at speed.
Big cameras or expensive electronics. Water and electronics don't mix. Use a GoPro (we rent them) or a waterproof phone pouch.
Alcohol. No drinking before or during the ride. It's the law — operating a PWC under the influence carries the same penalties as operating a vehicle. We won't let you ride if you're impaired.
Towels and chairs. You don't need to bring a chair — you're on a jetski, not setting up a picnic. A towel, yes. A full camp setup, no.
Fuel containers. Fuel is included. Full tank on arrival, return it when your time's up. No refueling stress.
A cooler full of food. Unless you've booked the full-day rate and have dock space. For hourly rentals, eat before or after.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my phone on the jetski? You can, but we don't recommend it unless it's in a waterproof pouch. Water spray at 300 HP is no joke. Ask us about GoPro rental if you want photos.

What if I don't have a driver's license? You can't drive the jetski without one. Passengers don't need a license — only the operator does. You must be 20+ to drive.

Do I need to bring my own life jacket? No — we provide life jackets for all riders, sized and fitted on-site. You're welcome to bring your own if you prefer, but it's not required.

What should I wear in cold weather? We operate May through September when water temps are comfortable. If it's an unusually cool day, a wetsuit top or rash guard under your life jacket helps. Check the forecast before you come.
